About us

We require our Professional Sitters speak English as their primary language to eliminate any barriers between the child and the Coach Sitter, however, in a multi- or bi-lingual home they may speak a family’s native language upon request. Coach Sitters Academy employs personnel from a variety of international backgrounds to accommodate and understand a family’s customs and cultural needs.

We are not in the marketing business, as many large firms are babysitting referrals focused. We do not simply interview candidates online or by phone for availability, and after a quick online training, place them with a family without having met the candidate in person.

Our experienced hiring manager conducts two extensive in person interviews with our candidates to assess and evaluate their character, knowledge and future potential to be part of our team.Once a candidate is identified as a fit for the company and qualified to work with children, we perform background checks, personality evaluations and extensively interview references.

Coach Sitters Academy encourages its Sitters to continue their education within the company by offering training, both online and in a classroom setting, to elevate their knowledge and skills in child development. Our Sitters are not in this field as a fallback means of earning income; they are passionately motivated and committed to a career in the care of children.

Mission Statement

Coach Sitters Academy (CSA) is committed to a mission of nurturing and engagement of children in our care to promote and encourage their interests, wellbeing, and more importantly their inner happiness and confidence.

We are adamant that the first 5 to 8 years of a child’s life, while the brain is developing, is when they are most receptive to stimuli that will shape their future and their personality.  We are aware that a typical babysitter simply watches a child to keep them out of mischief or harm’s way, or they may simply be a playmate for the child. Without the knowledge or resources to respond to questions from an inquisitive child, misinformation may be imparted by untrained baby sitters which could be detrimental to positive growth. At these young ages, a child may experience distress when the parents leave the house. CSA believes in working through this with the child rather than dismissing or waiting it out.

We believe keeping the child engaged in activities, projects and useful conversation makes the time go by much more quickly and gives them the security and self-confidence of knowing the parents will return.

The children of today are, and will be, the leaders of tomorrow. We believe that potentially costly problems that may arise later in life, at school, work, or in their relationships, can be mitigated by investing in your child’s future now.

Our goal is to revolutionize the Babysitting Industry through our coaching to build a team of Sitters committed to the fully-rounded mental and emotional growth of children. We are focused on candidates that may have a background as teachers, nurses, and other professionals in the healing and teaching arts that are truly committed to the welfare and future of children.
